Twenty five minutes from Edinburgh City centre, Cousland Park Livery Yard run by Celia Henderson and her team provides full livery and training. The facilities have been significantly upgraded, offering fantastic off-road hacking and extensive well-fenced turn-out. A large floodlit outdoor arena (60x30m) has just been completed to complement the existing indoor school, plus a new horse walker and more stabling. Cousland has just hosted the first of a series of winter dressage competitions.

Pony Trekking on Exmoor ponies in the beautiful surroundings of the Pentland Hills.   Be captivated by the charm of our Exmoor ponies.  This unique riding experience is run by students of the Royal Dick Veterinary College, perpetuating a trekking tradition spanning almost 50 years.  We offer weekend day treks in the Pentland Hills and during the Summer midweek or weekend breaks based at Glendevon Youth Hostel (see entry under 'Perthshire').  All standards of ability welcome. Weight limit of 12 stone. Children of 8 to 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. Hats provided. House O'Muir is located on the minor road behind Flotterstone Inn which is located on the A702 approximately 4 miles from the Edinburgh City bypass.
