Twenty five minutes from Edinburgh City centre, Cousland Park Livery Yard run by Celia Henderson and her team provides full livery and training. The facilities have been significantly upgraded, offering fantastic off-road hacking and extensive well-fenced turn-out. A large floodlit outdoor arena (60x30m) has just been completed to complement the existing indoor school, plus a new horse walker and more stabling. Cousland has just hosted the first of a series of winter dressage competitions.

Within 30 minutes drive of Edinburgh and close to the Firth of Forth coast, this centre offers beach riding for experienced riders and many safe, off-road tracks for novices. Quality, weight-carrying Irish draft horses are a speciality, but ponies are also available.

Students and Under 18’s £20, Non-Students £25 (yearly membership costs £30 or you can buy winter or summer membership for £15 which will give you £5 discount off each trek). PLEASE NOTE:  Failure to give more than 24 hours notice of cancellation will result in full trek price being charged.

TREK INFORMATION
You will need boots or shoes with a small heel suitable for riding in, warm clothes including comfortable trousers (jodhpurs or tracksuit bottoms), gloves and waterproofs, a packed lunch (an apple or carrot for your pony - they will love you if you do) , bus/petrol money and payment for the trek (cheques payable to EUEPTS). Weight limit 12.5 stone (79kg) *subject to change in winter. Hats are provided. If using your own it must meet current safety requirements PAS015/BSEN1384. Trek Leaders will contact you the night before to arrange a meeting point and time.  The First bus service 62 goes past the ponies field (ask to get off at Wellington School) and a trek leader will then meet you there to take you to the trek (bus costs approx £5 return).  If you have any questions please contact the pony trekking mobile on 07582834171 or see our website www.exmoorponytrekking.co.uk

Riding through the rolling landscape of East Lothian farmlands provides views of the Firth of Forth and Lammermuir Hills.  Training available for careers in the equestrian industry.

Situated in West Lothian between Edinburgh and Glasgow.  Modern facility with horses and ponies ranging from novice to competition level.  Floodlit 45 by 45m outdoor school and excellent countryside hacking.  Riding available from Tuesday to Saturday from 1 hour hack/lesson to 2 hour hack and half day ride by arrangement.  Booking essential.
